Major housing developments

The Tweed's population is expected to grow to about 120,000 people by 2031.

This will create a demand for around 16,000 houses and 10,000 units, depending on household size.

It will create a demand for approximately 1,350 ha of urban land (Source Tweed Urban and Employment Land Release Strategy 2009).

There are several major developments which will help to cater for population growth in the Tweed.

A complex range of approvals are needed to advance the construction of these new developments.
