October Business Month

Tweed Shire Council is excited to announce the return of October Business Month in 2024. With an enhanced schedule of events, the month-long celebrations continue to deliver on the Succeed in the Tweed’s purpose: to support new and existing businesses and industries so they succeed in the Tweed and contribute to a thriving and sustainable local economy.

Building on the success of last year, The NSW Government Small Business Month – Northern Rivers Expo will anchor the month-long celebration on Tuesday, 15 October. Council is delivering a calendar of free events on either side of the Expo, tailored to cater to Tweed’s diverse business community. These events collectively aim to provide invaluable opportunities for skill development, networking, knowledge sharing, and celebrating business triumphs in the Tweed.

About Business Month

small business network forum

NSW Small Business Month is a month-long program for small businesses across New South Wales to attend events aligned to their individual business interests.

This year’s program has been designed to provide small businesses with quality opportunities to network, develop skills and gain knowledge. In 2024, NSW Small Business Month 2024 will be debuting the NSW Small Business Month Expos. The Expos will be taking place in eight regions of New South Wales, including the Northern Rivers.

Council will host a series of free events throughout October that align with Council’s Community Strategic Plan and aim to help our local economy thrive and creating sustainable opportunities for the long term.
