19 June 2020
Lap, aqua exercise and learn-to-swim bookings also open
Squad swimmers in the Tweed can book training sessions at TRAC Kingscliff from Monday (22 June), with squad starting the following Monday, 29 June.
These sessions add to the squad training sessions already available at the Murwillumbah centre.
At the Kingscliff 25-metre pool, three swimmers will be allowed per lane for all squad sessions, up to a maximum of 10 per squad.
Swimmers must book their place for Kingscliff and Murwillumbah by calling 02 6670 2750. Bookings can be made one week in advance and there is no limit on how many sessions a swimmer can book. Bookings open at 9am on Monday 22 June for both pools.
TRAC Murwillumbah indoor pools reopen to the public on Monday 29 June. Online bookings are required and can be made from Friday 26 June. The hydrotherapy pool, 25-metre pool and learn-to-swim program pool will be available for bookings with restrictions.
The following Monday, 6 July, TRAC South Tweed Heads is back in business for lap swimmers for a short time until further maintenance and renovations can be scheduled. Two swimmers will be allowed per lane. Online bookings are required and can be made from Friday 3 July.
On Monday 6 July aqua exercise classes also begin at all three pools. A maximum of 15 people will be allowed per class and social distancing will be maintained in all pools.
Then on Monday 20 July, learn-to-swim classes will resume at both the Murwillumbah and Kingscliff pools.
Online bookings can be made by visiting https://trac.tweed.nsw.gov.au, where the timetables for all squad and aqua classes are published.
Swimmers and aqua program participants are asked to come dressed for the pools as change rooms will not be open.
Change rooms are limited for the hydrotherapy pool at Murwillumbah and are only open for users and carers when needed. Bookings for this pool are limited to one person per lane. One carer or one allied health professional can attend if support is required. The carer or allied health professional must give their details to staff at reception.
More details will be added to https://trac.tweed.nsw.gov.au/ next week.
