There’s not much time left to nominate for the Tweed’s Australia Day Awards and recognise the achievements of people in our community.
Do you know someone from the community, your sporting club or school who is doing great things in the Tweed and deserves to be recognised?
You can nominate for any of the following six categories:
• Citizen of the Year
• Young Achiever in Community Service
• Arts and Cultural Achievement Award
• Sporting Achievement
• Community Event of the Year
• Volunteer of the Year
So think of a friend, family member, school or local club that deserves to be recognised and make sure you nominate before Friday 18 October by visiting www.tweed.nsw.gov.au/AustraliaDay
Awards will be presented at the Tweed Shire Australia Day Awards Ceremony in the Tweed Heads Auditorium on Australia Day on Sunday 26 January 2020.
Applications are also invited from not-for-profit organisations and community groups interested in hosting small community events involving Tweed residents to celebrate Australia Day in their local communities on Sunday 26 January 2020. Financial assistance of up to $300 is available to successful applicants.
These applications also close on Friday 18 October 2019.
