Retro organ up for grabs at Banora Point Baptist

Banora Point Community Baptist Church organisers will be hoping for an organ transplant when they participate in this year’s Second Hand Saturday, a region-wide garage sale day being held on 23 September.

The church has decided it’s time to part with its immaculate 1970s organ, now the church has its own in-house band.

As a result, the very retro musical instrument will be among the church’s items up for grabs when it hosts a Second Hand Saturday garage sale for the first time.

They are among the 95 Tweed households and community organisations that have already signed up to hold garage sales on 23 September.

There is an optional ‘leftovers’ day the following weekend on Saturday 30 September.

It’s free to register and garage sales will be promoted in local newspapers, online and the Second Hand Saturday app.

To take advantage of the free promotion, register your garage sale at www.secondhandsaturday.com.au.

It’s the north coast’s biggest coordinated garage sale day of the year. With over 1000 garage sales held across the north coast at last year’s event, 2017 is set to be bigger than ever as households and clubs take the opportunity to spring clean and sell off pre-loved goods.
