Motorists are urged to drive with extreme care on Tweed roads as the continuing rain may cause further road damage and landslips.
Mayor Katie Milne said people really need to take extra care now, especially whenever it rains.
"The slips are still eroding and this red clay mud is so slippery on the roads. Roadside edges could also be soft from being undermined and there are numerous potholes. Please don't take any risks. There is just no excuse to be driving fast with all the damage after these floods, especially in the wet," Cr Milne said.
A great deal of work has been carried out over recent weeks to clear and repair damaged roads but the rain forecast for today and tomorrow could result in more damage and further slips.
Please travel with care at all times and be extra cautious on roads damaged in the recent flood and prone to landslips. Please obey all road signs and traffic control instructions.
