Special TRAC hours for Christmas
01 December 2016
School holiday fun and learn-to-swim at aquatic centres
Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre will have special opening hours for its three facilities during the Christmas and New Year period.
All three TRAC complexes will be closed on Christmas Day.
Then from Monday 26 December to Monday 2 January, TRAC Murwillumbah will be open from 10am to 5pm each day, with the Kingscliff facility open 9am to noon and the South Tweed complex open from 10am to 4pm.
The three centres will return to normal opening hours on Tuesday 3 January.
All fitness classes at the three centres - including deep water running, aqua fitness, gentle aqua, cycle fit, and adult swim fit – will take a break from 26 December to Monday 9 January.
Kids looking for some school holiday fun will be able to enjoy the water slide and diving boards at TRAC Murwillumbah every day from 17 December to 29 January, between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
Two intensive learn-to-swim programs will be held at TRAC during January.
The first school holiday five-day program will be conducted from Monday 9 January to Friday 13 January and will include an Aboriginal Learn to Swim and Survive program at TRAC South Tweed.
The second intensive learn-to-swim program will be held from Monday 16 January to Friday 20 January.
A free junior water polo clinic will be held at TRAC Murwillumbah in January. Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions on 10, 12, 17 and 19 January, from 7.30am to 8.30am, but interested juniors will be able to attend individual sessions.
