The newly constructed Fingal Head Bridge will be opened to traffic tomorrow.
Council applied a temporary seal on both road approaches to the bridge this afternoon to allow traffic to use the new bridge tomorrow.
On Monday, while work will resume to complete the final touches to the bridge and road approaches, traffic will continue to use the bridge under the direction of stop / slow flagmen.
The temporary traffic bridge will be removed next week to allow the kerb and gutter to be constructed on the eastern side of the new bridge. Then, the permanent surface will be applied to the road approaches.
Council expects the new bridge to be fully finished and operational in about 10 days, weather permitting.
