Wharf Street pedestrian crossings re-spray on Sunday evening

Families taking Dad out to dinner at Twin Towns Services Club or Dolphins Hotel in Tweed Heads on Sunday are advised Wharf Street, between Boundary and Bay streets, will be closed to traffic from 6pm to allow two pedestrian crossings to be re-sprayed.

One crossing is adjacent to Twin Towns’ main entrance and the other is adjacent to Dolphins Hotel.

Vehicles can still access Twin Towns via Boundary Street or the club’s underground carpark off Stuart Street. Dolphins car park can be accessed via Navigation Lane. Car parking also is available near Jack Evans Boat Harbour, off both Boundary and Bay streets and within walking distance of both venues.

Stop / slow flagmen will be in place to direct through traffic, both north and southbound, around the worksite via Bay and Stuart streets.

The bus stop at the intersection of Bay and Wharf streets will be relocated to Bay Street for the duration of the closure and a traffic controller will be on site to direct passengers to the temporary stop.
