Community clean-up underway.
See our emergency responders in action at this free, family-friendly event.
Tweed’s emergency response services will once again come together for the Emergency Services Expo, taking place at Jack Evans Boat Harbour on Saturday 31 May from 10 am – 3 pm. This free, action-packed event is a chance for our community to learn how emergency services work together to prepare, respond and recover from disasters. Mayor of Tweed Shire Chris Cherry emphasised the importance of the expo in strengthening community resilience, particularly after the devastating 2022 floods and more recently, Tropical Cyclone Alfred. “These disasters have shown us how vital it is to be informed, aware and prepared to face disasters,” Cr Cherry said.
"Getting to know our emergency responders, watching them in action, and learning how we can all do our part in disaster preparedness will help make Tweed a safer, more resilient community.”
