Council is seeking passionate and experienced community members to join 3 important Management Committees.
These Committees play a crucial role in shaping the future of the Tweed and we invite you to contribute your expertise.

Koala Beach Wildlife and Habitat Management Committee
This Committee is dedicated to protecting the unique environmental values of the Koala Beach Estate.
Members will advise on Wildlife and Habitat Management plans, manage and mitigate threats to native wildlife from residential areas, engage with the community and help allocate the Koala Beach Estate Special Rate.

Rural Land Industry Management Committee
Focusing on the long-term viability of rural agricultural industries, the Rural Land Industry (RLI) Management Committee supports farmland regeneration in the Tweed.
Members will facilitate communication between industry, rural landholders and government, and recommend initiatives that promote agricultural growth, with a strong emphasis on regenerative agriculture and environmental management.

Tweed Regional Museum Management Committee

This Committee plays a key role in the development and management of the Tweed Regional Museum.
Responsibilities include approving acquisitions and de-accessions from the Museum Collection, reviewing and recommending updates to the Museum’s Strategic Plan and policies, advising on future developments and promoting community awareness and fundraising efforts.
