For the fifth year running, Council is joining forces with community environment group Watergum to run the Tweed Cane Toad Challenge, a program aimed at reducing cane toad populations on the Tweed Coast.

This year’s program includes a range of education events and community toad busting initiatives.

The first free community toad-busting event will be held the Pottsville Environmental Park on Friday 15 November from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm (NSW time).

Come along to this family-friendly event to meet like-minded individuals, learn new toad busting skills and make a difference for our environment. This event will also include an induction of the new citizen science project, focused on measuring the impacts of cane toad control on toad populations.

Let’s work together to control cane toads!

Spaces are limited. Register at Community Toad Bust – hosted by Tweed Shire Council and Watergum. Tickets, Fri 15/11/2024 at 6:30 pm | Eventbrite
