Councillor Kimberly Hone is a passionate community advocate and political thinker based in Kingscliff, with a deep commitment to social justice, environmental stewardship, and family values. Married for 17 years and a proud parent of three young daughters, Cr Hone has built a career that intertwines public service, business leadership, and a love for community sports.

With a background in wilderness reserves and wildlife, Cr Hone began her career as an interpretational ranger for Queensland Parks and Wildlife, where they connected people with nature and conservation efforts. Their commitment to community has extended to volunteering with the SES and working in social services, where they’ve spent years supporting disadvantaged children, families, and individuals with disabilities across both government and private sectors.

For the past 13 years, Cr Hone has also been deeply involved in growing a thriving business alongside her husband, combining their skills in leadership and teamwork. Currently pursuing studies in political philosophy and policy, Cr Hone is driven by a desire to engage with and influence the systems that shape society.

In addition to her professional and academic pursuits, Cr Hone has always been passionate about grassroots community engagement, particularly through team sports. She plays soccer for the Bilambil senior women's team and her daughters play various team sports as well.  She believes that community activities such as sports and recreation play a vital role in fostering unity, resilience, and collaboration within communities.

With a unique blend of experience in environmental conservation, social work, business, and political philosophy, Cr Hone is committed to building stronger, more inclusive communities and advocating for policies that reflect the needs and aspirations of the people she serves.
