Council committees

Committees provide advice and recommendations to Council on a range of matters.

These committees include community members, Council staff and Councillors.

Typically, committees are called for and appointed every 4 years, for the term of a Council.

Aboriginal Advisory Committee

Working together to strengthen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in the Tweed.

Advising Council on issues of risk, financial management and governance.

Advising Council about public access issues.

Advise Council on various floodplain risk management plans

Implementation of the Tweed Coast Koala Plan of Management (KPOM).

Advising on the health, risk and recreational use of our coast and waterways, including beaches, estuaries and creeks.
