Queens Park changeroom and canteen upgrade

We are upgrading the changeroom and canteen facilities at Queens Park in Murwillumbah to improve its resilience against future floods and weather events.

Project Schedule

• Planning: October 2024
• Construction: January 2025 to April 2025

What’s involved

• Renovation of the building, including both exterior and interior improvements
• Replacement of roof sheeting, gutters, and downpipes
• Installation of new epoxy flooring
• Plumbing and electrical works
• Interior and exterior painting
• Installation of flood-resistant fittings and fixtures
• Comprehensive deep clean
• Accessible public toilet (future stage)

Why it's happening

Severe weather and flooding in 2017 and 2022 caused substantial damage to the changeroom facilities and canteen.

Budget: $149,500

Jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Governments.
