Beach safety devices

Council has installed beach rescue devices along our coastline to ensure the safety of all beach users. This equipment is accessible to all community members for emergencies.

Rescue tubes

Rescue tubes have been installed at various local beaches to aid individuals in staying afloat if they are drowning.

Instructions on the storage boxes recommend that only proficient swimmers should use the rescue tubes after calling emergency services at 000. This is particularly important if no lifeguard or surfboard is available for assistance.

The maintenance of these rescue tubes is overseen by Council. Please notify us of any usage, loss, or damage to the equipment by scanning the QR code on the storage box.
